What do you like about Europe?
Europe is a wealth. An unshakeable plural wealth of men and women of different cultures. The founding fathers of the European Union managed to federate countries and reconcile the peoples after the war. Today, European youth believes in the future of a more just, social and economic Europe. A more united Europe between the countries.
What I like is above all the meetings we can do, discover a country, discover beings with exceptional qualities. I believe in a Federal Europe, A united Europe in construction and not in the division will be above all a prosperous Europe where the peoples will come out grown up.

What did your country give to Europe (music, literature, theatre, politics …)?
Jean Monnet and Robert Schuman offered peace. Today as a Young Generation we have to keep this peace. This peace is reflected in our actions in everyday life, our actions committed to the territories for the common good. We must continue the work of the builders and architects who believed in this humanist vision.

What did Europe give to your country (generals, kings and queens, artists, concepts)?
Europe has given young people the opportunity to discover cultures beyond the borders. ERASMUS exchanges, but also freedom. Freedom of exchange, democratic freedom. At the dawn of the European elections of 2019, we must be vigilant.

As a result of your time at JCI: What did you like about JCI?
I liked a lot of things at JCI.
In the first place the action. Because at JCI, we have no limit in the ideas of projects, we can at any moment work in the general interest. Take a local reflection to the world. We are privileged to have known this organization, which brings together men and women with the desire to change the world and to make their contributions in all humility.
Second, training. That of training for and through action, the development of our Leadership, awareness and responsibility. JCI is a true leader and citizen training school.
Finally, the meetings. Through my travels I have been able to meet exceptional people, on international events such as zone conferences or world congresses. But beyond this, it is for example to go to a European national event where nobody knows you and to exchange with the members of this national organization, to share fraternal moments, to share successes of actions and good practices. And for that I cannot thank enough JCI to have contributed to my individual evolution as a man. The people I met have and will always have a special place by my side, and I hope that this friendship will last over time.

What do you like about the Senate?
I was not predestined to become a JCI Senator. So, the question is important in my vision of the Senate. For me, the Senate is the think tank of members who have had an impact on their territory. A positive impact that allows members to grow and reflect. On November 25, 2017, I became aware of the role and mission of senators, and I am delighted to find friends with whom we can continue to work throughout our lives.

What is your vision of Europe in 2044, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the European Senate?
Europe in 2044 is a good question! Two answers: one on Europe as such and one on the European Senate.
I believe in a strong and united Europe where all peoples will be united.
I believe in a Europe without a territorial border, without an individualistic national policy.
I believe in a Europe united and united around a single president.
I believe in a more economically fair Europe with, for example, a European minimum wage to help countries with a weaker and purer lifestyle harmonize monetary Europe.

But also, I believe in European Senate, more impacting bringing concrete solutions to the Junior Chamber members. Certainly “the ancients” as we call them at home, have a mission to accompany the LOMs. Our mission, in my opinion, is to continue to contribute to the transmission of JCI values and in particular to act on development.

What steps are you taking to realize this vision?
To ensure that every JCI Senator brings 1 or 2 Youth to JCI. It is necessary to close the page of the “in my time it was better”, but to open the one of tomorrow will be a real opportunity that everything is possible if we show the way. Let’s create this bridge between Youth and Senators.
Let us federate the senators, gather the senators.
One of my accomplishments will be to continue my commitment and to bring JCI’s ideas with kindness, especially at the strategic level.
Commitment in our life must make sense, honour our LOMs who trusted us by granting us the right to be a lifetime member of JCI.
