SIG Golf

ESGC website

Dear European Golf Senators, Jaycees and friends,
We truly hope this letter finds you well and you have managed to stay as safe as possible during these very uncertain times.
We announced that we would inform you as of July 1st  if we could play our 30th ESGC Championship in Mont Garni. The lockdown and approval of Mont Garni Golf Club has permitted us to announce that ESGC Championship will take place August 28th – August 29th 2020 in Mont Garni.
We have lowered the price and modified the Program.
Our theme this year is LOW Key which means we will have to minimize our plans for this year and postpone the big Jubilee for next year. However, creativity is allowed and we will do our best to provide you with a rich program, hopefully with some good surprises.
Social distancing has been removed thus, we will be able to conduct a rather normal Championship with certain precautions. Not more than 50 people gatherings, and alcohol, and other measures to secure your safety and wellbeing will be provided.
Please phone hotel van der Valk in Mons and reserve under following Code: CHM-GF7094.

Room rate agreed upon:
Euro 73.- per room in addition 17.50 p.p.   Non- Refundable
Euro 114.- 2 persons per room with breakfast   Refundable
Euro   93.- 1 person with breakfast   Refundable
These rates apply until July 1st 2020.

Registration fee this year has also been reduced to Euro 230.- for ESGC Members and 250.- for non-members.
Wishing you all a successful and safe lockdown in all corners of Europe and no recurrence of any endangering viruses or pandemics.
In Jaycee spirit,
Rebecca, Martinette and Rob
ESGC President
Rudolf von Bachellé

SIG Sailing

JCI Regatta 2019 sailed for the 9th time and visited the northern Dalmatian Area, south from Zadar in Croatia. They set JCI sails in the Kornati Archipelago and the Kornati Islands National Park. This archipelago is named after the largest island Kornat and is the most dense group of islands in the Mediterranean Sea, counting up to 89 islands on about 320 square kilometres.

There were no less than 16 yachts (15 competing) and 125 Jaycees from all over the world.

SIG Trains

Rail events are almost always short and basically local. The British Senate have a rail group and they occasionally meet up for a day somewhere to visit a railway. These things are often arranged at short notice.

Chris is organising a one-week trip to Remagen, Germany from June, 26th to July, 3th 2021. They will travel by train from London and plan to visit the Schwebebahn in Wuppertal, the Vulkan Express in Brohl, the Drachensfelsbahn and the Kasbachtalbahn at Linz (Rhine). Once they get the details settled, they will let us know here and on the Bristish Senate website.
