Applying for ASE European Academy Bursary

 

The ASE European Academy Bursary (ASE Bursary) is to contribute to the cost of registering for the JCI European Academy (EA) with a maximum of 550 Euro.

CONDITIONS TO APPLY:

  • The participant’s national organization must be a full or potential member of JCI and be up to date with JCI fees.
  • Any active member who has been accepted by the JCI European Academy in the current year.
  • The participant must be under 36 years old on 1st Jan of the year after his/her participation in the JCI European Academy.
  • The participant should have sought financial support elsewhere first.
  • The participant must be the incoming Local President (LP) or candidate for LP in the current year’s elections.
  • The candidate must be Proficient in English, and willing to serve JCI for more than 3 years.
  • The participant must participate in all the modules of the JCI European Academy.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applicants should send before the application deadline an email to bursaries@jci-senate.eu with the following documents in PDF format:

-       Letter of commitment/Motivation letter with:

  • the reasons for application (explain why you will attend and what you expect from the JCI European Academy)
  • why ASE should support you financially
  • how will you apply what you will have learned to your chapter as President

-       Application form/Affidavit completely filled in and signed

21 days after the decision concerning your admission to EA has been sent to you.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

  • Preference for countries with no delegates
  • Preference will be given to delegates from countries where Senate or Local/National organizations’ support is not available
  • Weighting in favour of National organizations with “potential or provisional affiliation”, emerging countries, JCI EDC countries and countries where JCI development is crucial.

HOW TO RECEIVE THE GRANT

To receive the amount of your ASE Bursary once you have attended the JCI European Academy you will have to provide the following to the ASE Honorary Treasurer (treasurer@jci-senate.eu) by 30th September:

-          a personal report (minimum 800 words and pictures) reporting what you learned and how the added value of attending the JCI European Academy will
           benefit your LO when you are president (the report may be published in various ASE communications)

-          complete bank details of where the payment should be made

-          proof of participation in the 2024 JCI European Academy

-          proof of JCI European Academy registration payment
