ASE mentoring program 

ASE has started a mentoring program in September 2023. 

What is mentoring? 

“Mentoring is a learning relationship, involving the sharing of skills, knowledge, and expertise between a mentor and mentee through developmental conversations, experience sharing, and role modelling.”

 Goals of the ASE mentoring program 

 * To improve synergy among senators in Europe by enhancing trusting and collaborative relationship between us

* To create an environment for sharing experience, skills and knowledge among senators

* To support the advancement of more engaged, active, caring and collaborative culture in JCI

* To help to senators develop mentoring skills so that they can use in their personal and professional lives, and also when needed to provide mentoring support to JCI members.

 Mentoring Program Model

 Mentoring training and mentoring program among senators. Group mentoring, one-one mentoring sessions and supervision.

 1. Mentoring Training

* The training program was offered online on zoom and Canvas platform was used as LMS (Learning Management System).

* Language of the training: English

* After the mentoring training is finished, Mentoring Program has started. 

• Start date is September 2023

• Four online sessions each 90 minutes. In between preparation material on Canvas LMS

• Frequency of the synchronized training sessions: Once a week, in total 4 weeks.

 2. Mentoring program

 • Program date: November – May

• Frequency: After mentor and mentee matching, they will meet minimum 3 times to do mentoring sessions each other for 1 hour each time.

• After the sessions are finished, there will be a Supervision session to support the ASE Mentors in their mentoring journey.

• Creating an ASE Mentors group with the skills and knowledge: end April.

 Enrollment

 JCI senators living in Europe are welcome to join the program. If you live outside Europe but would like to join the program, please contact us.

 Fees

 Contribution to ASE for commitment to the program. The fee is €25 per person for the program. The trainers and trainer company will provide their services for free of charge.

 Certificate 

The program is offering a globally recognized individual accreditation (EIA) by EMCC Global for qualifying participants with an additional certification fee. The individual accreditation certificate is not a must for ASE Mentoring Program, it’s the choice of the participants, if they want to use it in their professional life they can apply for it.

Trainers & coordinators 

Support for the program design and the accredited training was provided by RK Academy (Dr. Riza Kadilar, JCI senator #59038 and EMCC world president. 

The program is coordinated by Pelin Kadilar #71534. The program director is Hanna Toimi #76503. 

The program is following ISMCP (International Standards for Mentoring and Coaching Programs) Guidelines by (www.emccglobal.org), and includes an accredited tranining on mentoring.
